Cart is empty Over the last couple of months, I have been busy trying to get to grips with building a website and preparing for launching a online business! As a bit of technophobe, this has been somewhat of a steep learning curve. Thank goodness I know people who are can help, my husband very kindly helped to sort out the technical side of things and has been putting up the my endless questions and requests for help.
It has been a time-consuming challenge to fit around in/around making art and the other family responsibilities of day to day life.
I have found it a frustrating process at times but I’ve been determined to master the skills I need to maintain my own website.
Alongside the website, I’ve also been improving my photography skills and learning how to set up artworks and lighting to achieve high-quality photos of my art required to produce Hi-resolution images. These images are needed for exhibition brochures, art competition and print reproductions to name a few. I will be selling both originals and limited edition signed prints on my website, and as always it is important to me that I’m offering the best quality products. I have chosen the Giclee printing process for its beautiful authentic quality, the pigment is sprayed onto the surface of the paper perfectly replicating the texture and finish of each work of art to the extent that it can be almost impossible to decipher the original from the print.
My aim now is to have my prints and website ready to launch by the end of October. Alongside this, I am taking part in the Derwent Sketch-a-thon throughout October in support of Mind -the mental health charity.
